Dutch lessons

How does it work?

Dutch lessons are divided into modules on the language levels A0, A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1 and are thus designed for beginners, intermediate and advanced students. There is no starting date for Learn Dutch at Home, you can start right now by contacting us!

Step 1: Determining your language proficiency and selecting a module

To determine your current language level, we have two options:

  • You can take this on-line placement test for free or:
  • you can order a 45-minute level assessment session with a teacher via Skype. Having the teacher determine your language level is more accurate, and your overall language proficiency will be determined more reliably because it takes into account more communication aspects than the test does.

Step 2: Ordering lessons and paying the monthly course fee

After determining your language level, you can order a monthly module of the lessons suited to your language level. You will receive lessons once per week by e-mail and you have a week to complete them. You can work on the lesson any time you feel like it, no commitments, no agreements or having to go anywhere. You will send your completed lesson to our e-mail address, and within a week, the teachers will send you the corrected lesson containing personal feedback and ideas for improvement. Next week, you will receive the next lesson by e-mail, and this continues as such for the rest of the month. If the Learn Dutch at Home system is right for you, you can order another month with us and continue until you finish the given language level and move on to the next one.

Step 3: Improving your Dutch!

The method Learn Dutch at Home is configured so that you can improve your Dutch regardless of place and time, with personal feedback of qualified teachers, who will correct your mistakes, explain the right way to say something and give you other ideas for improvement.

This is a combination of e-learning and classic one-on-one lessons in Dutch with a teacher. This method has proven its worth with students who cannot come regularly to language courses, when such courses do not suit them or as a supplement to courses where students in groups do not receive as much personal feedback and attention. With us, the teacher is there for you personally!
